Clermont State Historic Site was the Hudson River seat of NY's politically and socially prominent Livingston Family. The site offers tours, educational programs and a variety of special events. The grounds are open year-round for hiking and picnicking.

The Clinton House is a 18th-century Georgian stone building that was named for George Clinton, who served as the first Governor of New York and fourth Vice-President of the United States. Primarily a research library, the site is also used for the Dutchess County Historical Society.

Guests enjoy guided and self-guided tours of Olana, a masterpiece created by Frederic Church, renowned American artists of the Hudson River School. The landscapes with panoramic vistas of the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains, like the house, were designed by Church.
